Who’s ready for a Monte Carlo?

Bonus on this one, we get to break out the Benedictine!

Monte Carlo
Author: 2-in-1 International Drink Cards, 1977
  • 11/2 jiggers blended whiskey
  • 1/2 jigger Benedictine
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  1. Shake well with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry if desired.

“This had better be good. It’s been a rough week.”

“How is it?”

“It’s a bit syrupy, but good.”

The Verdict: Good

From The Tasting Notes:

Tastes like a syrupy version of a Manhattan. The texture of the Benedictine gives it a thickness. Has some depth to it, without being overwhelming. I really have started to enjoy Benedictine, and I would drink this over a Manhattan. Would probably pair well with a cigar.
