Are you ready for a Clover Club Cocktail?


This one is a cocktail we have been meaning to try for a long time, mostly because of the raw egg white in it.


Clover Club Cocktail

  • 1 part gin
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  • 1 tablespoon grenadine
  • 1 egg white
  1. Shake well in cracked ice until very cold.

Just a quick note, we used a pasteurized egg white from a carton for this drink, and it was just fine.

The Verdict: Interesting

From The Tasting Notes:

This cocktail is pretty good, but a little unusual. There is a strong citrus flavor from the lime, but it is tempered by the grenadine. You can taste the gin, but it isn’t too strong. Not sure about the egg white. The drink has sort of a smooth thickness to it. You can’t really taste the egg white, though, it is just a texture thing.
