Ingredients
- 1 jigger Hiram Walker Sloe Gin
- 1/2 jigger Italian Vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- A twist of lemon (or dash of lemon juice)
Instructions
- Combine in glass and stir gently but firmly in ice and strain into cocktail glass.
And for Valentine’s Day, Tom gets to test a drink.
“How is it?”
“Sweet!”
The Verdict: Sweet.

This drink was syrupy sweet, with a vaguely tropical flavor. The lemon is really essential for this drink. And do NOT spill this drink. It is sticky!

I must warn you – Sloe Gin will fool you. You’ll drink more than you should and it will make you so sick!!

Agreeing with Barbara on the effects of sloe gin….it was the alcohol of choice among my friends in our pre-legal late teen years back in the mid-70’s. Let’s just say I haven’t had any desire to drink it in about 30 years or so. This drink sounds interesting just for the fact that I didn’t know real “grown-ups” drank it too. (lol)
increase the lemon a bit and it is a refreshing, late-spring cocktail
