Tested Recipe!

 2 cups sifted cake flour
 3 tsp baking powder
 ½ tsp baking soda
 ½ tsp cinnamon
 ½ tsp nutmeg
 ½ tsp cloves
 ½ cup shortening
 1 cup sugar
 2 ½ cups prepared mincemeat 
 2  eggs, well-beaten
 1  can condensed tomato soup
 1 cup chopped nuts

Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, and spices.

Cream shortening and sugar, add mincemeat and mix thoroughly. Blend in eggs. Add flour mixture alternately with soup, stir into soup. Mix in nuts.

Pour into 9½ inch tube pan. In a moderate oven, 350 degrees, for 80 minutes or until done.

Cool, cover with your favorite white fluffy frosting or hard sauce and serve.
