½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup sifted flour
¼ tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
1 egg
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp vanilla

Combine all ingredients except nuts and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat. Stirring constantly, cook until very thick (about 10-12 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

Chill for about one hour. Drop chocolate mixture from teaspoon into chopped nuts. Roll into small balls and chill until served.
Yield: About 3 dozen 1-inch bon bons
