½ oz Cherry Brandy
2 dashes bitters

The Verdict: Strong
This is not a drink for the weak. It pretty much just tastes like straight liquor. We served this one to visiting guests, one of whom is pretty experienced with cocktails, and even he said it was strong. And he never says that about anything! So…this one may need some ice. Or if you think that most drinks aren’t strong enough, then this is the one for you!
First time commenting here, but I’ve been reading for a while (and love it!)
I just wanted to mention that although Kirschwasser is technically brandy, when drink recipes call for “cherry brandy”, they’re almost always asking for something like Cherry Heering — a sweet, dark red, relatively low-alcohol cordial. If you make it with something like that, I think you’ll find this cocktail a little more balanced. And less like drinking a glass of gasoline. I keep Kirschwasser around for cooking (it lends a really nice cherry aroma to desserts) but… it’s not really great for drinking, IMO.
