 3 large cooking apples
 1 cup sugar
 ¼ tsp salt
 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Wash, peel and core apples. Make a syrup of sugar and Worcestershire sauce, salt and water.

Cut apples in halves and add to liquid. Cook uncovered until tender, turning frequently.

Remove apples from the syrup. Continue cooking syrup about 5 minutes or more or until thick. Pour over apples and serve.
