Rice Pie With Meat Crust

 1 pound ground beef
 ½ cup dry bread crumbs
 ¼ cup chopped green pepper
 1 ½ tsp salt
 ¼ tsp pepper
 16 oz seasoned tomato sauce
 3 cups cooked rice
 ¾ cup grated process American cheese

Combine beef, crumbs, onions, green pepper, seasonings and ½ cup of the tomato sauce. Pat mixture onto bottom and sides of greased 10-inch pie plate.


Combine rice with remaining tomato sauce and ½ cup of the cheese. Spoon into meat shell.


Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 25 mins. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake 5 more minutes or until done.
