Chocolate Pound Cake Lamb
  • 2½ cups sifted all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 1¾ cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 cup milk
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare lamb mold.
  2. Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla and chocolate and beat on low speed until blended.
  3. Sift flour with baking powder, soda and salt. Add alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture and beating just until well blended.
  4. Pour the batter into prepared pan and bake for 55 minutes.
