Lady Baltimore Lambie Cake
 
A lamb form cake recipe with an interesting mixing method. If you are going to attempt this recipe, be sure to double the flavoring.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 2½ tsp baking powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup shortening
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 beaten egg whites
Instructions
  1. Sift all dry ingredients together.
  2. Stir shortening in mixing bowl to soften.
  3. Mix in sifted dry ingredients.
  4. Add milk and vanilla and beatwith electric mixer for two minutes.
  5. Fold in beaten eggs whites and beat for one minute.
  6. Bake in 370 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
