    Wow — this gets 5 stars just for weirdness! Could you imagine serving this to your startled guests today? Deep-fried cornflake-crusted tuna-rice cones served with pineapple, broccoli, and cream of mushroom soup! In any event, this I’ve GOTTA try! If it is anywhere near good, I’m supposing it would be better with cream of celery soup… BTW, I love your site, Ruth. It’s one of my all-time faves!

    Were corn flakes not sugar-coated back in the day? Since it includes brown sugar and pineapple, maybe sweet tuna dishes were the fad.

    Crouquets were very popular. I remember a little rhyming diddy to help remind you how to say the word: croquet you play; croquets you et.
