    My dad would make something very similar for us four kids if my mom happened to be away at supper time. We called them francheezies. Slice hot dog part way through, stuff cheese slice in, wrap in bacon, secure with a toothpick and broil. Yummy!! I remember one time he got them prepared for broiling, then left the kitchen to do something else. When he returned, the francheezies had disappeared. Turns out our dog ate them, toothpicks and all. It’s a fun family memory.
