I love everything retro, vintage, mid-century, kitsch and all things atomic! A 21st century housewife just trying to fit in...to the 50's. We make this not infrequently, although the ingredient amounts in the recipe are a little different. (I’m not sure how one could fit four cups of cream, whipped, into a single pie shell along with the rest of the stuff.) It’s really good.

I have this exact recipe and make it frequently at Christmas-time. It’s really fabulous and showy with all that whipped cream mounded up so high. And it’s yummy too!
