I love everything retro, vintage, mid-century, kitsch and all things atomic! A 21st century housewife just trying to fit in...to the 50's. I have a passion for vintage recipes and an enormous vintage cookbook collection that I keep testing, even though by now I should know better. Coconut for unusual texture. Pistachio pudding for unusual color. Pineapple plus sour cream for unusual flavor. (Surprise!)
Oh, it’s all a surprise!
Huh, what on earth would this taste like??? I’m stumped.
“unusual” is rarely a good thing when referring to food.
…especially when you use it twice in back-to-back sentences.
Agreed. “Unusual” once usually just means it taste strange, but not that bad. “Unusual” twice usually means it’s an “acquired taste”.
Mmm…might have to upgrade this one to the “to be tried” pile!
What year is this recipe from? (Sorry if it’s right in front of me and I just don’t see it.) I might have to make this… just to know it’s secrets.
Hey Erin! I think it is from the 1970’s. No date was printed on this one!
If you do try it, send me a pic and I will add it to the post! 🙂
